| Eco club of Gyan Niketan organises programme to protect biodiversity |

| Patna, Feb. 1: School students in the city took up cudgels for the nature today. |
| The eco club of Gyan Niketan started a two-week-long nature awareness prgramme, on the theme: “Save bio-diversity: live with nature, live for nature.” |

| The event, being held on the school premises, was inaugurated by S.C. Chaudhury, the chief conservator, forests, Muzaffarpur. |
| “It is heartening to see students come forward and take responsibility to protect the environment. The message to save the environment can be spread through them,” said Chaudhury. |

| Millions of tons of detergent are used everyday to wash our clothes, and then dumped to our drainage that finally led to waterways. Our water, the limited stock of fresh water, is again to receive various chemical wastes - some are even very toxic to both human and aquatic life.

| Chandigarh, February 16: The Energy and Resource Institute (TERI) along with Tetra Pak India Pvt Ltd, Yuvsatta and Sohanjana Eco-club of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 46 D initiated the paper mache workshop titled ‘Kabbad Se Juggad’ under Project SEARCH today. |
